Kamata, the Dreamkeeper

Kamata, the Dreamkeeper, 19” tall, self-standing, $135.00

Kamata is dressed in rusts and brown fabrics, with orange and mixed colored batik fabrics hand quilted up the front of her body. I have hand stitched Czech glass Beads in a trail along the quilted fabrics.

Her shawl is hand woven in rust colors, and her headdress is tie-dyed cottons. Her hair is Black New Zealand Wool and her face and hands are hand sculpted. She holds a sculpted Calla Lily in her left hand and a Dreamcatcher in her right, decorated with rust bud berries and turquoise nuggets. Her necklace is a combination of glass, Turquoise, Golden Coral and Pearl beads, with a metal Moon charm hanging on the end. Her light buckskin colored Medicine pouch is Suede.

Her tag reads:
She is the Goddess of Self-confidence. I trust myself and my dreams; I keep them close.
I can pass all tests that come to me, for they are just my teachers.
